– and much more, comme dit la pubilicité !

Quelques retour d’expériences en vidéo…

Merci pour cette initiative, Google !

I’m receiving a very interesting newsletter from Deutsche Bank North America that gives interesting analysis on telecom industry.

As you can see on this graph, the expansion of smartphones is not done yet. Although we can question the capacity of mobile operators to provide this “famous” mobile Internet which is not still there from my point of view (and we cannot just accuse devices for this pain is the ass slow debit you can definitely verify with your iPhone in the US with AT&T or in France with Orange), the market of data usage is… the sign that networks are still changing. Let’s see how it goes with Android this year for example.

I’ve just received a press release informing the launch of Virtua Fighter on mobile phones in France, maybe Europe. I remember having heard a lot about this game while I was selling Sega games to Southern Europe telcos!.

The problem it was not yet published was due internal studio validation issues.

Now it’s live… I will not buy it, because I’m now exclusively using iPhone, and it’s not available here… I just saw few pictures, and I must admit they should have waited a little bit because… well if maybe someone reading this has played to it: tell me your point of view!

Mobile 2.0 at Web 2.0! September 22, 2008

The first conference at Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin will be dedicated to Mobile 2.0, presented by Brian Fling from Fling Media. Mobile topic for starting Web 2.0: any symbol?

The objective of this workshop will be a comprehensive and in-depth tutorial on not only designing and developing mobile web sites from concept to completion, but also how to integrate mobile technology into desktop web sites and web applications.

To be honest, I think “Mobile 2.0” means nothing except trying giving some consideration to an industry which is still too many controlled in terms of distribution (I mean facility and pricing) by carriers.

But developing applications on mobile request specific knowledge in terms of technology and use of mobile. That’s good stuffs to get from Brian.

Planning mobile web strategy is another thing:

– small audience (growing now?)

– expensive price to pay for development

Well so huge amount of money to start to get audience but with which rate of ROI? Brian, we’ll be listening to you with many attention!
