OpenCoffee Paris

There is always something happening at OpenCoffee…always someone good to meet!

…sounds like some famous advert!

Yesterday my surprise came from…

Filopix

I met Eric Mathieu who introduced me to this brand new “pictures portal”…which is full of many interesting things…mix of Photolia/Photobucked/FlickR/American Greetings

The concept is to share pictures, with a specific search engine (50.000 pictures online at the moment) with an encyclopedic category. The business model is based on 3 main revenues potentiality: licence on pictures (you can make money here), fees (there are several subscriptions possible) and advertising (adapted to the context of the category you browse).

I really liked the possibility to make a search by selecting a color…like a return to my childhood!!!

The other very interesting thing is the fact that Filopix is cross platform: web and mobile…and on mobile the experience is working as well, I saw it… The english version will be launched next month…the web site was live on May 31st…

There is an interview in French made by Christian for YouVox here…Eric knows his business…
