“Les Journées de la Mobilité”
A conference was organised yesterday to talk about “mobility”.
Smarphone but mainly PDA, Windows Mobile (Symbian a little), convergence, mobile vs laptop…
Mobile industry is clearly defined in BtoC market, with specific marketplace, specific actors, under the spotlights…
For BtoB, as for all the CIOs in the room, nothing specific, just a specific technique, a new application to manage.
How depth is this market, I have no real idea but based on this event (I did not attend to the demos), and also Mobile Office (in October this year, Porte de Versailles, Paris) there is nothing specific…but some more could be done and developped.
Main questions I heard: costs, roaming costs, NFC with or without SIM card…VOIP? Not really…
Seems to remain only a period dedicated to schedule of condtions for providing cellphones and subscriptions at best price for big companies. Plus some applications as study case…
Ok see you next year…
