Mobile Web Initiative by W3COne of the major issue in Mobile industry is the multiplicity of standard, as much as for the network (UMTS facing CDMA), to OS (for smartphones, Symbian vs Windows Mobile)…handset platforms (nearly 200 different just for Europe)…

As an example for the mobile gaming industry…

The W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) http://www.w3.org/ has already brought a main impact on Internet industry, and now has initiated the Mobile Web Initiative to propose recommandations for making Web access from a mobile device as simple, easy, and convenient as Web access from a desktop device.

I strongly advice to go now and look after their work on http://www.w3.org/Mobile/ and take the time, why not being involved on it!
